On my way over to Mira Loma and Norco to talk to three 'smiths. There are a bunch more around, but these are closest.
Had no idea there were so many in the area, but I guess it figures. Both of those places have a lot of "horse properties".
Thanks for all the help.

Well, I talked to one fella for an hour and decided:
1. I can do the jobs myself.
2. I can use his stuff.
3. My cost will be for materials and a lunch at Farmer Boys for every day I'm there.
4. He provides, suggestions, opinions, and instruction for nothing.
5. I havr to show up next Tuesday morning with my drawings and dimensions, my own safety glasses, and a pair of leather gloves.
Couldn't pass up the deal.
Thanks again.

I know, Sherrif Earl Scank of Keith County and I disscussed that one time at the state fair. But I was out of his jur-us-dict-shun.
(Tis funny, I lay it out in plain site, 999 folks can walk by and never notice, then someone like him will do a double take.)
{BTW they're no longer ileagal here, since the 50's, modern science can tell. But would still not be a good idea to be caught in a pasture with one and a Berz-O-Matic.}
Earl's retired, don't know if he'd come out of retirement if I showed up, he banned me from his county.

What's the difference between a runnin' iron and a pot lid lifter?

They don't generally hang cooks.
Lowest bad guys I ever saw were the ones in Open Range, killed the dog and the cook, lower even than Bruce Dern shootin' John Wayne in the back, course he almost stooped low enough to hang the cook.

Hangin' is too good for Bruce Dern. Stake him out over an ant hill, skin him, then pour honey over him and watch the fun.
