2 day shoot in Grand Island this weekend.
« on: April 03, 2009, 12:29:22 AM »
Looks like a chance for snowy/rainy weather. Be sure to bring your rain gear and a small boat!

As of right now, I believe that the Saturday shoot is still on, but it has a chance of being wet. The snow is supposed to happen sat night/sun morning, and then be a high of 33 or so with blowing snow. Yick.

I am not sure of the plans for Flatwater on Sunday yet. I will post something when I do find out.

Here is a link to the weather. http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?CityName=Grand+Island&state=NE&site=GID&textField1=40.9218&textField2=-98.3659&e=0

See you there, maybe!

Yep, the weather forecast is looking worse. Grand Island weather doesnt look too bad on saturday, but sunday could be a bear.

Here at the homestead, its supposed to be worse, so Freeda and I will shoot the Saturday shoot, and scoot home before too much gets here at home. We our an hour West of GI yet, so the roads could get nastier as we go.

Its too bad, it was gonna be a great weekend too.
Maybe it still will be for those folks that live a little closer. With Flatwaters indoor range, even if the weather is completely terrible, they can still do some shooting.

Dalton, I really like the idea of both Grand Island Clubs on the same weekend, but I'd offer the suggestion next year do it on the third weekend of April, you have a better chance with the weather that way...

Well, the first day is done, and the second day is cancelled due to possible blizzard.
There may have been a conflict that third weekend, at one of the clubs saturdays, so....

We will have a 2 day shoot again in July.

Thanks all that DID come, and hope you all made it home safely.
