« on: March 11, 2009, 05:21:30 PM »
Howdy Pards
Here is a picture of my Homemade Bowie
The blade was made in Germany By F Dick Model #66 it is 12" long.
I paid $5.00 at the farmer's market for it,it had big wooden handle that was broken .
So I went to work on it ,Reshaped the blade put a brass backstrap on it brass hilt and Elk Antler handle.
Take a look at her and let me know what you think.

You can be proud. A knife like that would make you hew and cry. 8)

RCJ,

Just ignore that Chinook fellow!  Puns are a fine form of humor!

Sir Charles is a fine feller, but need to improve his sense of humor! :o ;)

I have been accused of being pun-ishing before!  ::) ;D ;D  Always proud at those times! ;D ;D

Take a look at her and let me know what you think.

To paraphrase the old Gillette commercials, Dusty Ed, you are definitely "fixed for blades"!!!  She'll do, fer sure!

Dusty Ed,
What shape was the blade before you went to work on it? Good-looking knife, by the way.

Howdy Pards
Thanks for the nice Compliments.
It sure is an attension getter ,I use to wear it like Sam Elliot but it was pain in the butt, now I just hang
it on my cart
The blade originally was like a spear point .
