A Couple of my Knives
« on: March 10, 2009, 09:05:02 PM »
Howdy Pards,

I thought I would post a few pictures and add to the Cutting Edge.
The knife that is hafted with the antler was made by Mr. Dennis Miles of
Double Edge Forge. Dennis makes great period 18th and 19th century knives.
I own several. The skinning knife on the right was my first attempt at hand  forging
a knife. It was forged out of spring steel and hafted in walnut. That was over twenty
years ago and I must have gotten lucky because that knife takes
and holds an edge very well. I have skinned many deer with that knife.
 Take care Pards

I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people and I require the same of them."
