Before being known as 'The Cornhuskers', the NU football team name was 'The Bugeaters'.
I personally think we'd get a lot more advertising dollars in product spin-offs and branding if we were still The Bugeaters.

Now how period correct would it be to have a "Go Mighty Bugeaters!" bill posted on the rear of your buggy.
Or chuckwagon.

The Stobe Light was invented in 1931 by Harold Eugene Edgerton, a native of Newbrassky who was born in Fremont but grew up in Auroa. He was a proffesser at MIT at the time he invented it.

From Wiki which agrees with the information at the Egerton Center at the Plainsman Museum at Auroa:
"The origin of strobe lighting dates to 1931, when Harold Eugene "Doc" Edgerton employed a flashing lamp to make an improved stroboscope for the study of moving objects, eventually resulting in dramatic photographs of objects such as bullets in flight."
I had a quick look in there on days when I had torn up the lawn out there to cook.

Must not forget two Lincoln Newbrassky natives that are close to many of our hearts, Verdon Speer and Joyce Hornaday. Speer moved to Idaho, but Hornaday stayed in Newbrassky at Grand Island.

And they're still comin up with new stuff. Not fer cowboy shootin but thier LeveRevolution line has brought back lever guns as viable hunting rifles. They even have scattergun sabot slugs in the line now. Great company.

Look at the ammo they now have for some of the old furrin' guns, 404, 470, 6.5 Jap and others, plus the revived Teddy's "Big Medicine" 405 Winny.

BTW they make most of the 375, 416 and 458 bullets used in factory ammo from other makers, not to mention other rounds, your Remmy or Federal ammo might use a Hornaday.
I don't shoot much jacketed in handguns but am a fan of their XTP.

I find that it is interesting that Nebraska was once considered part of the Great American Desert. Nebraska has been inhabited by several Indian tribes: Iowas, Omahas, Poncas, Pawnees, Otes, Missourias, and various branches of the Lakota.

How's that Roo, put a little perk in yer jinglebobs?
