The Annual Rock Creek Trail Days will be June 6-7 this year. Located near Fairbury Nebraska, this is the same Rock Creek Station where Wild Bill Hickok killed Dave McCandless in 1861.

If any one is interested in coming down, send me a PM. For anyone who has been wanting to learn dutch oven cooking, here's your chance, if you have ever wanted to get into doing Living History, here is your change. If you do not really do any old time skills, no matter, just put on your historal clothing and hang around with me, I'll be glad to get you going, if nothing else I'm always needing someone to grab my camera and help me get pictures. Also it is helpful to have a couple extras at times that can give a brief overview of what the cooks are doing.
My plan is to get down there sometime before noon on the 5th and get set up, there is modern camping with some provisions for horses and trails to ride. Also there is plenty of primative camping on both the East and West Ranch, I will be set up on the west Ranch.
There will be at least two blacksmiths in the blacksmith shop and there will be many other demos of old time skills, I will post more information of these when I get them, since we are just in the early planning stages.
