BhB, that is quite an accomplishment; congratulations. It looks like the buckle says Duelist, which is tricky. I do that every once in a while to remind myself that I’m not too hot at it!

Mr Buckskin Billy, that’s a nice holster for a really cool gun. I don’t think you even need to fire that one; it can take people down by the power of intimidation!

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen, I do appreciate the comments. I know I need to be more consistent with the depth of my stamp impressions. I hadn’t stamped anything in quite a while. Now I need to find some time to get some swivel knife practice in.

i do more brain tan buckskins than i do leather work. i have been brain tanning for about 8 years now and only the good Lord above knows how many critters i have tanned over the years.
thought some would enjoy some pictures of the buckskins and buck skin clothing i have done

Howdy Buckskin,
As JD said... "You've certainly earned your name". Great looking stuff! Many thanks for sharing this with us.

Hey Buckskin Billy, great looking stuff.  I love the Fringe and the smell of a smoked hide.  Next time you want to cut out a star (I too have Dennis Adler's book and like that Holster)  Use a cookie cutter to mark the wet leather.  You can find loads of different star sized cookie cutters around Christmas Holiday.  That holster in the Dennis Adler book led me to make this carbine scabbard for the pistol that never was.
