Well, after all the cool holsters from Kid Terico and Chuck Burrows, I hesitate to post anything
JD - IMO NEVER feel that way - we are all on the journey together and as that old ARMY commercial said "Be allll YOU can be!"
As for your holster you did a fine job - I especially like the color - two thumbs way up!
1) Seam reinforcement - as and alternative to TW's suggestiion - when doing seams I start four holes down sew up and then back down, effectively backstitching the beginning of the stitch line
2) Did you groove the line? If so I;d suggest to go a bit deeper if not do a groove which helps "set" the stitch line.
3) After stitching lightly dampne the leather and then go over the sitches with your over stitch wheel - thei will also set the stitch line and even it out
4) The only other suggestion is to add a decorative line about an 1/8-3/16" inside the stitch line - look at most of my work and you can see what I mean. It's traditional for one and adds a bit of visual impact - use the stitch groover or a set of calipers to make the line.....
FWIW - Kid T and I talk frequently so he knows what I think of his work.
For the other folks - again two thumbs up and keep it up!
