That rig is really interesting, Kid. More nice work. I really like that eagle with the four feather border. That's outstanding work. The dark background really sets it off. Thanks for the pics.

Well, after all the cool holsters from Kid Terico and Chuck Burrows, I hesitate to post anything
JD - IMO NEVER feel that way - we are all on the journey together and as that old ARMY commercial said "Be allll YOU can be!"
As for your holster you did a fine job - I especially like the color - two thumbs way up!
1) Seam reinforcement - as and alternative to TW's suggestiion - when doing seams I start four holes down sew up and then back down, effectively backstitching the beginning of the stitch line
2) Did you groove the line? If so I;d suggest to go a bit deeper if not do a groove which helps "set" the stitch line.
3) After stitching lightly dampne the leather and then go over the sitches with your over stitch wheel - thei will also set the stitch line and even it out
4) The only other suggestion is to add a decorative line about an 1/8-3/16" inside the stitch line - look at most of my work and you can see what I mean. It's traditional for one and adds a bit of visual impact - use the stitch groover or a set of calipers to make the line.....

FWIW - Kid T and I talk frequently so he knows what I think of his work.

For the other folks - again two thumbs up and keep it up!  ;D

Thanks for that advice Chuck. The funny, dumb, call it what you will thing is I knew that stuff from watching your holster DVD numerous times. I doubled back on the stitching on both ends, but probably did not get the stitch groove deep enough, and I remember the rest of the advice, but after the fact. I will write this stuff down, and try to follow it like a recipie.

You last post's work is incredible, very inspirational. Thanks

Beautiful work Chuck, you just seem to get better and better with time, the bead work alone is just awesome, thanks for sharing Pard.

KT, another fancy gun rig, those Hollywood pards wouldn't know how to act with one of these rigs on, you're definitely the King of Bling.

Thanks to both of you for sharing

Howdy All

Here's a couple of pieces I just finished for a Pard, it's a holster for a S&W Lemon Squeezer, and a matching sheath for his dagger, the knife is his, and gun is mine, hope you like it.

                           Regards

That knife and sheath is great. I like the combination of floral and geometric beadwork. Beautiful.

Kid, that rig looks good with the two-tone finish. TW's right, king of bling. Well done.

Tw, Those look great together. Nice simple design carried out to make a nice set. The FJ floral stamps look really fine on both. Nice work.

Thanks for sharing, pards. That's what keeps us going around here.

You are right Kid, The different styles and ways of doing things are what keeps use all looking. It seems like we all pickup little bits and pieces of everything we see and that is where our own style eventually comes from. Some just get there faster than others.
