stove could be getting to hot,  might try turning it down 20 or 25 degrees and see if that helps
most cook stoves aren't too accurate,  we have to turn ours down a little from what is recomended.
We done it for Dixie,  nothing else

Yep, that is the problem, my stove is the other way and it's even digital.

Okay, it'll get tested tomorrow.  I been cooking them for years on my old range and they turned out perfect.  I go out and spend a new Henry for a new range and it burns my biscuits...and that just burns my buns.  ;D

I assume you knowe all you need is a oven thermom you place inside the unit. dial your testtemp and see how far off your unit is. We have to calibrate or equip at my business monthy and this is one simple technique on how it is done. Hopefully your oven is not too far off temp.

Be careful, I tried two of them one time, got two different readings both different from the oven setting, I just stick my hand inside any more to see how hot the danged thing is. ;D

It's no big deal, it don't take a long time for a smart person to decide how hot an oven is, only the dumb ones get burnt. ;D

Took a bunch of fiddlin', but I got it:  dropped the temp to 355 fron 375, increased the time from 18 minutes to 23 minutes.

Now I got to 'recalibrate' when to start the bacon and eggs and hash browns so they all get done at about the same time.

Well that makes me laugh, my oven does best on biscuits at 435. ;D  And folks think dutch oven cookin' has to be difficult because you don't know how hot things are. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
