There are a number of outfits making faux Ivory grips.

Most will need some fitting to your gripstraps and frame in order to look right and to provide a safe, secure grip.

These vendors produce some quality grips - though there are more.

Ajax Custom Grips - www.ajaxgrips.com
Eagle Grips - www.eaglegrips.com

Good Luck.

Also you might try this article on the how too page http://www.cascity.com/forumhall/index.php?topic=2515.msg24638#msg24638 he shows a step by step pictorial on how to fit them grips! Shocked

Good luck in your endevor!

I was wondering about faux ivory grips. Arn't they rather slick for drawing, especially on a hot day?

I have Faux ivory on my 1858s and yes they tend to be a little slick. You get used to them and remember to bring paper towels especially if you use Crisco as lube like I do!  ;Di

Take a look at www.barsgrips.com , look at the Truivory grips. I have 6 pair, and they are very nice looking. They are hand made from start to finish. If you have questions about them, you can ask me i might be able to answer them. I know the owner, so i can get the answer for you.
