Some have reportedly difficulty in contacting Thunder Ridge. If they don't answer, you can also try these folks.

Uberti & ASM USUALLY take 12X28
Piettas USUALLY take 6X.75
Ruger Old Army USUALLY take 12X28
I have 12X28s in my ASM 1860 Army that were made for the ROA
I'm sure the Walkers use something else.

Walkers and Dragoons do use larger nipples, and I believe, #11 caps. Armys and Navys should use #10 caps (Remington #10s fit Treso nipples)
Yes, ROA nipples will work in Uberti (and Colt 2nd/3rd gen) Armys and Navys (Remington and Colt), the thread is the same, also, the threaded portion is longer, it actually comes out flush with the unside of the chamber, which the other brands don't, so are easier to clean at the bottom of the chamber.
You do need a different nipple wrench with the ROIA nipple, it is hexagonal, uses a 3/16 socket driver.

Yep!
I have a 2nd Gen Colt Dragoon, 1st Model. When I called Thunder Ridge (and got in touch with them the first time I tried) we weren't sure. I tried the ones that they listed for the Walker as they didn't have either the 1st OR 2nd Model Colt Dragoon listed. Apparently, I was the 1st owner of a Colt of my type who had ordered. That they could remember. (I notice that they STILL don't list Colt Dragoons; only Uberti. And yes, I do understand about the relationship between Colt and Uberti BP guns - it's very corn-fusing and ya practically need a program to keep up with it!)
The nipples for my Dragoon are waaay longer than what I have seen regularly - or like what are on my Uberti 1860, my Pietta Remington or my "mutt gun" 1851 of unknown origin. They are longer both on the threaded portion as well as the "barrel" or whatever it's called.
I think Fox Creek Kid said that the original nipples (cones) on the Walkers and at least some of the Dragoons were for #12 caps, which are a bit larger than #11s, but can sometimes still be found.
Annnnyway, the TRESO nips they sent fit perfectly on the gun and, in fact DO work best with Remington #11s - which seem to be more and more difficult to find! The CCI #11s and #11M caps fit OK, but need to be pinched slightly to stay on securely. I have also tried both CCI and Remington #10s, but they are too small.
With their light gold coloring they sure look pretty - at least 'til I fired them a couple times. I suppose I could use steel wool to clean them, but ...

All Standard frame Ubertis take 11-50-16 12x28 thread cones. Thunderidge is back from they're travels. Standard TRM 5011L is their brand.
