The first SxS I owned was a single trigger, so it took me awhile to figure out two triggers after I got my first two trigger.  Roll Eyes Grin

Morning, Buck!

So, how does that work? If it was a single barrel, I'd call it the world's most limited semi-auto!

Not sure of the mechanics, but the barrels fire in the same order each time, unless it has a selective control. One like that would be toooo expensive for knocking around a cowboy shoot anyway.................Buck Cool Shocked Grin

I used a single selective triggered Baikal/EAA SxS for my first 3 years of CAS. They cost about $350. I got it because I was not used to two triggers and the only sporting/long-barrelled Baikals had single triggers. I bought it for chinese chix hunting also. Some of the single trigger SxS's are recoil activated triggers. Which means, the recoil makes it switch to the second barrel. My "Mighty Ten" is this way. If the load doesn't have enough recoil the second barrel will not go off with the second trigger pull. The barrel selector is part of the safety on this one, so ya have to move the selector to the other side if that happens. I found this out because I put blanks in it and only one barrel would fire.

Thanks, Slim! I thought it might be recoil activated.

So it is some kind of weird semi-auto, but instead of the ammo loading, it switches barrels. That's pretty cool.

My Baikal is not recoil activated, though. I am have trouble with it doubling on me (both barrels at once). Ouch! I know what is happening but don't know how to fix it. A gunsmith already supposedly fixed it but it still does it. But my better half bought me a Lefever Nitro special for our anniversary, so I have another SxS until I get the Baikal fixed. I am now looking at a N. R. Davis mule-ear. I have some money left over from selling guns to buy the Henry.

But you didn't get to shoot the Henry this weekend because it was too cold?

I'm waiting for my Brownell screwdriver set to arrive before I adjust Minny.

Both barrels at once get stylin' points. Grin Grin Roll Eyes  I do that a'purpose, when the stage says double tap, pulling both triggers at once (or as close as I can get).  Works best with the loud smoky stuff.  Cornfuses the scores though.  Roll Eyes Tongue Grin

I shot the 30 bullets I had for Henry. I have to get some more, but I'll wait 'till it warms a bit or my hand might become part of Henry.  Sad

What are ya goin' ta adjust on Minny?

I took Henry apart for an inspection and cleaning. Yes, I have disassembly instuctions and schematic.  It had a bunch of metal filings in the action. It is spankin' clean now. I even got it back together right on the first try.  Grin

Minny isn't hitting the primers consistently hard. Manatee told me to expect that and told me how to adjust it. I just don't want to mangle the screw heads, or Manatee would mangle me!

Federals, and I'm almost out. But nobody within 40 miles of me carries them. I may have to switch to Winchesters.

What I've heard is Federals are the softest metal, then Winchesters.
I bought CCI's a couple week ago because the "toy" store was outta Remingtons,  but I got a misfire in Henry with the CCI's. I am going to try to find some Federals for Henry so I might be able to lighten the hammer a bit.

If yer gun won't fire hard primers there is a problem that needs fixed.  My Ruger SSM will fire any brand of small rifle primer and it has a safe 1 1/2 pound trigger.  (SSM's are Single-Sixes in 32 mag)
