Del, tell me about that cabbage and bacon

Del any secrets to that cabbage and bacon,  do ya just toss the cabbage in the bacon grease or ddi ya boil it ahead of time?
We done it for Dixie,  nothing else

Choped up the bacon, fried it, good local made bacon, had to add a bit of lard. ;D  Fried up the chopped up cabbage with a couple chopped up onions and some salt and pepper.  Will try to get the pictures of doin' it uploaded and added. :)

just finishing up a skillet full, breads already done,  gonna give this a try.  ;D

well we cooked it down just a little bit more, spooned it on a couple of plates and almost liked the skillet when it was all gone,  boy was it good. ;D ;D

Was about 5 years since I made it, glad I had the gall bladder removed, it was tough thinking I could never dare eat that again.

This is similar to a dish my wife's family brought over from Finland. It's basically the same thing but done with ground beef. You'll need to add a little lard or oil. Season with salt and pepper. Fry it up good then toss in a cut up cabbage. Cook it until the cabbage is all fried down (see below ;D).

Fry that cabbage down Boys, Fry that cabbage down, The only thing there is, Fry that Cabbage down!
