Hiya and mounted shooters in Australia
« on: May 18, 2008, 09:09:49 PM »
Hi all, my name is Rod Walker, my wife Michelle and I are new members of SASA. We have joined up with the Campbell Creek club at Mudgee.

Our main interest is in the mounted shooting and we have been chatting with quite a few people here in Australia that are interested as well. We have 6-7 friends that are keen and rearing to go.

Bit if video here of some training we did on the weekend for a Napoleonic show we have next weekend in Blacktown in Sydney.

We have been reenactors for years specialising in medieval and renaissance cavalry. Mainly jousting (our site www.jousting.com.au) but we have done 17thC cavalry involving flintlock cavalry carbines.

Managed to get a pic just as the powder in the pan ignited.

So, anyone else from Australia interested/knows of someone that is keen in getting the mounted stuff going?

Cheers
Rod

Great photo, Capt Texas Elliot and welcome to CAStm Downunder. It's a good site where we can talk to our friends overseas and let them know what we do here Downunder :)
