Boy, I'm away for a few hours and Del gets crazy! :oAnise seed? Now that's getting creative. Forty, the petticoat and slippers just boggles the mind, I can't even form a mental picture of that one! Shocked Undecided.......................Buck Cool Wink Smiley

Delmonico comes back in from the ranch and inta The Longbranch.  He is carryin' a 10 gauge double barreled, mule eared shotgun.  He reaches inta his pocket that is buldgin' with shells and drops 2, (clearly marked anise seed on them) inta the gun.   Angry Angry Angry Wink

Never fear Buck, this is just fer my own safety, I ain't after you,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,yet.  Fact is if forty Rod is offended, ya can back me up with yer biggest fish gun if ya want, there might be some cookies in it fer ya. Grin Wink

I just wanted ta say it would be better ta see him in a petticoat than it would be ta see him in a teddy.   (Now imagine about 20 of the "YIKES" emocons thingys from TFS after that sentance.)

With that comment Annie Lee spits coffee all over her monitor and Forty Rod chokes on his beer.  The tought of him in a Teddy scares even him, Delmonico backs slowly out of The Longbranch, his thumbs on the hammers of the shotgun loaded up with the deadly anise seed.

Suddenly he bursts back through the door, a 38-40 Colt in his hand.  He fires five rounds out of this (loaded with licorice jelly beans) inta the ceiling and dashes to his mule and rides off inta the dark.

Question: Perhaps this could be answered better in the Gunsmithing forum, but how fast could you drive a jelly bean in a 38-40 before sugar would build up in the barrel.  (See Annie ya wiped of yer moniter too quick. Grin

Also when loadin' these with black powder would you want to use a grease cookie or a sugar cookie. (Give it up Annie, the new model moniter will have a wiper like yer car. Huh)

It's funny how Del knew I was in bed when he posted that, so I was sipping on my first coffee of the day when I read what he wrote.

I now have the mental image of Forty Rod in a teddy seared, SEARED into my brain. I think I will be a nun forever after that one.

I'm not too concerned about sugar build up in my barrels from shooting jelly beans. I shoot .45s and the jelly beans just aren't large enough to fit in the casing. 38s might work, though, and pipsqueak shooters would have to use Jelly Bellies.

Gumdrops for 44 or 45, jelly beans will work in the 40's, 40S7W, 10mm, 38-40 or 41 Long Colt.  Don't know what would werk in the 38, hum a trip to the store?    Shocked Shocked

If we cooked a pipsqueak Buck, we'd have to call it goooormet and put lemon slices and fancy weeds to the side, cause their would't be enough meat on one fer a real meal. Tongue

Ok how 'bout a bunch a jawbreakers in a container and loaded inta an artillary piece, kinda like grapeshot. Grin Grin Grin

Delmonico feels sorry for Slim and hands him a pair of tweezers.  Slim notices that "Made in Montana" is stamped on them.  He also notices that they have lots of zircons imbedded in them. Wink

Slim says "Cool, I bet these would really shine in the moonlight."
