The Police/Pace car was kindah fun. But NASCAR wrote the ticket. A hunnert grand for Rousch ‘n company ‘n a six week suspension for Osborne. Docked a hunnert owner’s ‘n driver’s points.
I reckon when the say they want the oil reservoir access panel secured, they mean it. 99 will keep the win tho......

My lands.
Just watched the Favre retirement announcement vid clip. Wasn’t easy. Sad.
I know Slim cares. That man has nothin’ left ta prove. He was, ‘n probably still is, as good as any quarterback what’s ever taken the field I do believe. I’m proud ta be able ta say I’ve seen ‘im play the game. An artist will be makin’ a bust ta put in Canton ‘fore long. A hard earned ‘n well deserved honor.
Have a very happy retirement, Brett Favre

Yep, Igot some good memories of watching him play the game, and he never tried to be the Prima Donna so many of the QB's become.

We all knew Brett was gonna retire one of these years. He is one of the best QB's that played.

I'm not convinced that he is really going to retire. I am going to save my judgment until after two a days start. On the penalty for Roush, that was not intentional. Hendrick would have gotten away it with no questions aksed. Nascar wants to kiss his butt and keep him happy. All the announcers on Speed and ESPN kiss JJ and Gordon's butts all the time. It's like they are the poster boys for NASCAR.

Arcey, Do you think that they have solved the problem with the right fronts on the Gibbs Toyos? Biffle used up his tires tryin to catch the 18. Stewart need a Top 5 finish.

Fer what it’s werth, I think they lucked out. JGR is doin’ somethin’ with the geometry that ain’t werkin’ out. It held today. Kept waitin’ ta see the 18 doin’ a wall ride.
Stewart whinin’ at the end of the race ‘n slammin’ Goodyear was laughable. He’s on the same tire everyone else was on. NASCAR orders the compounds. Goodyear doesn’t just bring ’em.
Really like ta see the crybaby go back ta open wheel. If the lardass could fit in one. He knows Busch is a better driver ‘n it’s hard on his over-inflated ego. But he won’t. Ain’t no money in Tony George’s glorified go-carts.

Indy ain't the same since Tony took over. We always got tickets at the parts store when we sold a certain amount of Pefect Circle rings or some other product used in the race. We went almost every year in the 60's. We drove up there from the Texas Panhandle and pulled a travel trailer up there to stay in. The roadsters with Offy engines were the classic racecars.

The Museum at the track is great. Alot of former winning cars. and now a few Nascar since the Brickyard started. My Dad was an Offy fan and when they first brought the small block Ford to the track. I am glad that I inherited his gearhead genes. Unfortunatley, I don't have anyone to pass them on to.

It’s just me. Ain’t knockin’ anyone else’s opinion.
It was just the Indianapolis thing was supposed ta be the best someone could do with anything they could find. The stock cars have, since I can remember, been controlled. Makes for good racin’. Today excepted. That thing was Kyle Busch out on a nice ride in the country.
The only hi-perf, after market stuff the ole man would consider was Offy. Musta been some good stuff.

I have always been a gearhead. I stated riding with my Dad on wrecker calls when I was 3 years old. My Grandmother made me a pair of coveralls like my Dad's and sewed my name on them. I would stand up in the seat of that ol wrecker and hold on to my Dad's coveralls collar. I would cry at night if I did get to go, so I usually got to go to stop the cryin'.

But Parnelli and the first race was glorious - 'til that $2 part broke.

Racing at Bristol TN today. Qualifying was rained out, so they go by points in the standings. Bristol is known for a lot of "beatin and bangin" . Lots of torn up race cars to be hauled back to NC. Fabricators will be busy. I hope the Gibbs cars do good. Hope JJ and wonder wimp continue to have their problems. Good luck to Little E.

First thing I want to say is congratulations to Dale Jarrett on a damned respectable career. I’m honored to say I’ve seen both Dale and his daddy, Ned, drive. The best of luck to Dale in the booth.
That said – I hope he has a good run ‘n keeps the 44 in the top thirty five so Reutimann doesn’t get screwed when he takes it over.
Thinkin’ there’s gonna be some real big time frammin’ ‘n bammin’ at the back for the thirty fifth spot in owners’ points.
Reach up ‘n pull them belts tight one more time. I’m pickin’ cousin Carl.
