Well.....I have no family, and I don't go anywhere, or visit anyone on Christmas, so I have no one to buy presents for...other than myself.  I picked up another jug of JD last week.  I'm ready for Christmas now!

Kid,

The Christians believe that on Christmas, God gave to Man His only begotten Son. It is the greatest gift of all. Whether or not you are Christian, the spirit of Christmas: that of giving, is universal.

There are many ways to give. It can be a kind word spoken to a stranger. It can be an attempt to uplift a person who is down. It can be donating to Toys for Tots. It can be donating your time to the Christmas dinner for the homeless.

Every community has people in need: families without homes, parents who can't afford any presents for their children. If you called your local radio station, I am sure they would have a list of organizations and families who are in dire need of help this time of year. Even if that doesn't succeed, you could always go to the grocery store, buy a can of beans for under $2, and donate that can to the local food bank. They probably even have a container in the store to collect the donations.

The person receiving your gift may never know it was you who purchased that can of beans. But you will. And you will know that you acted out of the spirit of Christmas and perhaps find some joy in that... and you'll also be able to post here with a big:

Nanny, Nanny, Boo, Boo!

With warmth,

AnnieLee

Internet shopping is great!  No parking problems!  No long lines to stand in!  No surly clerks to deal with! No traffic problems!  "Out of stock" is very rare!  There is, however, one drawback.  One can get one's card number hijacked if they aren't shopping a secured site.  I've had this happen once!  My card number got hijacked and the scoundrel made a software purchase from a company in Canada.  I caught it and called the company.  They canceled the sale and issued me a credit....then it took a week to get a new card.  So...internet shopping is the way to go, but you gotta be careful with it.

Arapaho.....my website is hosted by Yahoo....last year, someone that works for them got my Amex number and charged well over 10 grand on it in two days...all charges were through some Yahoo shopping thing and all the amounts were the same...cash withdrawel maybe.....Amex wiped all the charges, no problem.  Worst thing was whomever it was opened something like 6 aol dial-up accounts.
Even though each month Amex would wipe the charges, aol kept charging the account, they'd just open new accounts evertime one was cancelled....it took me over a year to get aol to finally cancel any accounts ever opened with my card....

We finished up on Saturday. Had a couple last minute things that popped up. Nothing Internet this year other than my choo-choo( best price I found, almost $100 less than locally). Last year did some for Susie( couldn't find that kind of stuff around here, CAS related). So, we're just waiting for HO-HO to come now. Getting ready for a LOT of snow though........Buck 8) ::) :)
