Who will change shooters class in 2005?
« on: December 16, 2004, 06:51:12 AM »
So, is anyone changing there shooters class in 2005.
I started CAS with BP cartridge and shot that for 2 1/2 years, then last year I
did Cap n Ball ... Frontiersman.

I think I will stick with Cap and Ball as I love them Colt 1860s,
I love handling the powder flask, the caps, the round lead things..
The grease over the lead things.
I would do the gunfighter, but me left  wrist, she don’t work so well,
so shooting duelist style suites me.
What ya doing in 2005?

 :P

Think that I am gonna try Classic Cowboy a little more in 2005.
If things go right I plan to retire next year and will have more time to practice.
Wanna go back and shoot the C&B revolvers a little more too.

Plan on shooting some Classic Cowboy and Frontier Cartridge.  I shot the BP at a match a last month and is sure wa fun, except the cleanup on the 73.  Think I will wait till Tricky Trina gets her rifle so I can have my Marlin(fish gun as Tensleep calls it) back.  I will be much easier to clean up.

If all goes well, I'll be a full time WartHog Gunfighter next year. Still have a lot of work to do, first.

I have already learned about a hundred different ways of cursing the 5 lb weights I am using to get my forearms conditioned. I think some of it was in Ferengi!

Well, I went from duelist to double duelist to gunfighter this year, so I think next year I'll just try to get better at it.  Oh yeah, heavy on the Warthog!

Even though the Traditional catagory is a virtual log-jam of talent, I think I'll stick to it for the forseeable future.  I might take a turn once or twice into the realm of Frontier Cartridge, but not much more than that. ;D

I am working on acquiring a toggle-link rifle, then a mule-ear double so I can play in Classic Cowboy and be more authentic for NCOWS. I will still be shooting BP.   ;D

You've gotta try that, JW!

I've shot a couple of stages while humming and singing the song from Wizard of Oz. It usually pops into my head after I've made a bone-head miss by mistake:

Do de do de do <Bang> de doo do <Bang>
De do de do <Bang> de doo do <Bang>
If <Bang> I only had a brain..

Oh yeah, I want to shoot Gunfighter... in a corset.

:D

And I am here to tell ya that Mason is a whizz bang C&B shooter! 8)  I can't beat him on a really good day.  Might have to fix his 58's back to where they ain't reliable. ;)  Then I might have a chance.   Really I don't care as we have a great time bang'n them C&B toys & he is a hoot to shoot with. ;D 8)
