I think the STI is going to fall a little short. It looks like it is well made, but it is slightly deviated from the true Colt design. I did not see any patent dates on the frame. Cylinder beveling is marginal. The hammer spring is way to light at just under 2 lbs. The top strap does not seem to have the same final shape, that slight flare out at the bottom and the rear. It is also listed at 5 3/4" vs. 5 1/2". Other than that, polishing on frame is nice, obviously case colors are exquisite when done by Doug Turnbull, but bluing on remainder does not seem to have the same depth. I guess one way to see if it ranks high in the worthy department is to see if Doug Turnbull is going to sell them like he does USFA.
