Another Chaparral problem
« on: December 30, 2007, 11:45:58 PM »
My money pit just keeps disapointing :o

Just tried to install an Axtel Hunter staff tang sight. I bought it from a pard used and it's a nice piece (I have them on many original rifles). The tang on my Chaparral is so over buffed that the sight leans at least an inch to the right at the top!
Let's see:

New rifle $1100.00 (mine was "hand picked")
New links $150.00
A bunch of over priced brass $300.00
Lot's of my time (I charge $80.00/hr) $1600.00
Various assundries $300.00
The oppurtunity to R&D a piece of $hit for an ungrateful company PRICELESS :-* :o
Anonymity breeds bravado.......especially over the internet!

Sorry to hear that. You could have bought an original for those dollars.
