The Loss of a Good Pard
« on: December 16, 2007, 08:48:11 AM »
I looked around the board and couldn't locate anything so if this is old news, I do apologize!

I just received word via email from a good friend that our pard Coop Trawlaine (Walt Lange) passed away last night.  Word is that Coop's son phoned RD Henry and gave him the news.  This is truly a great loss to all who knew him.

Coop was a good man and he & I spent many a night on the phone discussing life's challenges and just life in general.  Coop was a wonderful Western writer for those of you who never got to read his books.  I for one will truly miss him, the phone chats and his weekly emails.

My condolences to the family.  You will be truly missed my friend.

Badlands Walker.

Saw him last about 6 weeks ago at the GFBJL. We spoke a few times, actually joked. Seems that is what we liked to do, joke around with each other. He looked to be doing really well. I am another that will miss him.
Condolences to his family and prayers sent up for eternal piece and comfort.

I am so saddened by this. I met Coop ( Walt)  at Jersey Lilly. We had so much fun joking and giving each other a hard time. He and Forty were there harassing everyone who came by their tent. LOL
I just got an e-mail from him about 3 days ago and answered it. He was a great guy and a good writer, as I have several of his books and have enjoyed reading each one of them.
I am sure he will keep everyone on their toes and entertained in the spirit world.

Fly with the winds Coop~~ You will be missed here on earth.
