We got Smith Bros. up in Denton, Tx.  That's where I got my ropes from.

I thought they made cough drops. ???

TLD,  how much is a rope going for these days,  used to enjoy roping, just ain't had nothing but Clea and Jackie to rope in the last few years and both of them is refusing :o
Told her a coupla weeks ago I needed one of them drover whips, she looked at me like I was gonna use it on her.  ??? ??? :o  she said all I would do is kill a turkey if I started swinging that around.
We done it for Dixie,  nothing else

OT, I hadn't bought any in awhile. It seems like about $35. for a heeling rope.  Del, I haven't try and buy any cough drops up there, of course I didn't notice any on the shelves.  These Bros. don't wear suits or beards.

a bit of trivia, Smith Brothers cough drops used to be made in Poughkeepsie NY, which is about 10 miles south of me. The factory was right next to the county jail. It was sold and torn down to make room for a larger jail that was too small before it was finished.
Not sure where they're made now

Them whips remind me of Lash LaRue and the sound of the whip crackin' while Frankie Layne is singin' "Rawhide".
