Hey Griz! It would be an honor if you would throw me on that list! I have been missing something for 30 yrs shooting my 1881 made 73 and have been tempted too many times to get a 86 but always in the back of my mind I didn't click with it's lines. I have aquired many levers over the years but have always felt something was missing...crazy,huh? Thanks for the imput on my other post asking which caliber to hook up with this model. Still throwing up practical vs aplicable vs dream'n.

Welcome to the fire, WhiteWolfDakota!
You will find lots of folks here who are fascinated with the 1876. After all, it is the most elegant expression of the Victorian gunmaker's art.

Grizzly Adams,
Would you be so kind as to add my name to the Winchester 1876 Membership Roster. [ Justin O Lawman ]
I picked up the Chaparral 76 Carbine I ordered from CDNN last night. It is one of the mis-spelled Daly Guns.
The gun seems to be a keeper.
Thanks

Add me to the roster. Got my 1876 from Taylor Arms a few weeks ago. Beautiful looking rifle.
Got it in 45-60 with a 28 inch barrel. Haven't got to shoot it yet. looking for ammo and Components.
03/04/08: finally got the shoot the 45-60, boy is it nice. Still need to shoot it a lot more to smooth up the action.
this a great handling and shooting rifle. Will hopefully get to shoot it off a rest and get a few pictures up here of it and groups.

Please sign me up as a member. I own an original RCMP and an original Holland & Holland marked and worked on 50-95. Unfortunately I haven't fired either one - to darn valuable - but I'm saving for a replica.

Count me in.
I have had a Uberti 1876 in 45-60 for about 18 months now. It's a lot of fun to shoot and very accurate too.
