Howdy,
Perhaps you could add me to your list. When I left California to move to Oregon, my good buddy and 1876 collector, Pill Pedler gave me a 85% original 1876 Rifle in .40-60 Winchester as a goin' away present.
I haven't shot it yet as I don't have any ammunition but as soon as I do, I'll take it out and give it a run.

Hi from across the pond.
Please add me to the list. I have two original 76's one 45-60 and one 40-60 both shoot real good. Also have a number of other Winchesters. I will try and post pictures when I can find out where the coal goes in the computer.

Just took delivery of a Uberti 1876 in 45-60 caliber. Gun is beautiful. As an owner of other Uberti rifles, I took it apart to see what the innards looked like. I was pleased to find that it was exceptionally clean and free of and major machining marks/burrs/etc. Really well finished overall and a nice piece of walnut on the buttstock, with some tiger stripe. After dissasembly, I cleaned and lubed/greased everything and put it back together. Action is pretty smooth, but the trigger pull is kinda heavy. Gotta assemble some ammo and shoot her smooth.
