Help LeatherSmiths!
« on: October 22, 2007, 06:32:08 PM »
Can I get someone to make me a rig like this:

I want a different color combination and holsters for my 4 5/8" barreled Ruger Vaquero Bisleys.
I am unable to get any replies from vendors on the web or they don't want to do the whipstitched edge.
I am looking to get a rig like this for next season as I want shoot B-Western with it.
Thank you,
Bill

Most of the vendors are too busy to tackle that kind of a rig right now. The laced edge isn't difficult, it just takes time. You could get a rig that is close to what you want and add the lacing after you get it. Get a book on lacing from Tandy and practice a bit on a scrap before starting in on your fancy rig. It'll take a bit of time, but you can do it. You may even be able to find a local saddlemaker that would enjoy making one for you. Maybe one of the pards on this forum will respond to your need and give you a quote to do it.

That is one fancy rig for sure..are they cap guns or are my eyes deceiving me?  A rig like that is totally do - able but it would take some time to do.

Yes... the company that made that used cap guns for the picture.  :D
I am hoping to have a rig something like it for next season.
My last shoot for this year will be this coming Sunday.

I could make that rig, as well as many others on this forum, I believe. But that would be one expensive rig, and take up quite a bit of our time. If you are REALLY serious about it you could e-mail me at mark@whyteleatherworks.com . So by next season are you taliking January or March?
