Howdy All...
Could some one direct me to where I may find directions to do the braided edge type of lacing that I see from time to time?
I'd be much obliged!  ;)

Bill:

Tandy/Leather Factory has at least two books on how to lace  both are under $10.00.  I also think there is a section on lacing in the "How to Make Holsters" book by Al Stohlman (again at Tandy)

You can also go to the Hide Crafter web-site and take a lookat their online catalog.

It's called the "double loop" or "double button hole" stitch.
As Outrider said tandy has several books and they used to give away a booklet called The ABC's of Leathercraft Don't know if they still do that or not. Either way Tandy stores or your other brand local stores are usually a good place to start.

Howdy Pards
I'm having troble sending a picture, maybe it will work this time , I agree with Outrider, you can get what your looking for at Tandy or Hide Crafters , either at there stores or on the internet , you can also request a catalog . The book I used  was I think called All About Lacing, the book is good enough that you can teach yourself how to do it , these pictures I'm sending are of some key fobs that I made for some friends , I hope they come out well enough that you can see the double loop lacing. ???

go to www.hidecrafter.com

they actualy have a video on lacing. it is the best lacing video IMO.
its hands on and he shows how to do lacing in different ways. also shows how to use 2 different colors of lace.
the video is only 20 bucks but its well worth it. i refere back to the video everytime i lace something

Bill,

Trust me on this . . . get the book entitled Leather Braiding by Bruce Grant. It takes the work out of the process and is very educational!
