Funny Chicken Recipe
« on: October 01, 2007, 02:41:45 PM »
BAKED POPCORN STUFFED CHICKEN

6-7 lb. chicken
1 cup melted butter
1 cup stuffing (Pepperidge Farm is good.)
1 cup uncooked popcorn (ORVILLE REDENBACHERS LOW FAT) Salt/pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush chicken well with melted butter, salt, and pepper. Fill cavity with stuffing and popcorn. Place in baking pan with the neck end toward the back of the oven. Listen for the popping sounds.

When the chicken's Arse blows the oven door open and the chicken flies across the room, it is done.

This recipe had me laughing and giggling for a couple of minutes.  Just when I thought I was done giggling, I thought...What if my mom and grandmothers tried this recipe?  And what their reactions might have been...I started laughing all over again.

I just had to share this with you all.

That's funny, TKK; my imaginer ran wild with that.

Howsomever, you got my thinker workin' - danger, danger WR - howsabout fitting a can of yaller or white corn into that stuffin' recipe, juice included; might make a nice addititon, for something a bit different.

Now that chicken is gonna have some color...Some yellow and some green!!!  The only thing I know is that there is gonna be some kind of mess to clean up in that oven and maybe all over that kitchen!

Maybe we could find some kind of "berry glaze" that could add to the veritable color bonanza that we are creating.  I am sure the textures will be just as dazzling as the color will be.  Maybe a glaze from some fruit cocktail would be good...

LOL  ;D :o ;D :o ::)
