Actually I just joined.  I shot my 1st W3G match yesterday at the T&R ranch in Florida. I've been shooting CAS exactly 5 years (this month in fact) and I gotta tell ya, it's the most fun I've ever had shooting.  I've always said in SASS I enjoy the people first, guns and outfits second and the shooting third. Boy has W3G changed that. What a rush. 

I shot the match with Dang-it-Dan, Dang-its-Darlin and Santa Fe River Stan, so I got to learn a lot about target selection and movement and I'm already looking forward to next month so I can try some new shooting techniques.   

It was pretty fun watching all us old SASS cowboys try our hand at W3G.  Colonel Dan, Rock-n-Rob, Ol-Glor-E, Arcadia Outlaw, Gun Dawg and myself, getting a little flustered at first but we all caught on pretty fast. Then the Florida heat and 100% humity kicked in and we just tried to keep our minds on the shooting.

Ol-Glor-E set up a fun match and like I said, I'll be shooting this match every month I can get on down to the T&R.

Welcome to the World of Western 3 Gun!!!!!  Congratulations to Lady Robin, Ol-Glor-E and the T&R Outlaws.  It sounds like they hit the ground running on their INAUGURAL MATCH!!! You sure had a notorious group of cowboy shooters out there. I hear Dangit's Darling gave the boys a run for their money too!!!!

I also heard there's photographic evidence of what a great time everyone had.

Looking forward to that!!!

Yea, that was pretty cool! Dang its Darlin beat Dan and Stan in overall time AND bonus points on a stage so the ladies got Dan and Stan on their knees to pay homage. On the next stage they were informed that the camera didn't get the picture so they reluctantly bowed down again. Everyone enjoyed the moment especially Darlin, Oakley Mouse and Lady Robin.

I would like to thank you and all the W3G management for getting this off the ground.  I definitely think there's a place on the shooting landscape for this sport.  I'll certainly be encouraging my pards to give it a try.

Also, you couldn't get a harder working pair of cowboys to get W3G going than Tom and Robin.  They have built a strong following at their ranch and it is my favorite place to shoot in Florida ( and I shoot at 6 different places, 2-4 times a month).

I'll introduce myself to you at the Last Stand. I'll be one of the RO's this year working stage 7 with Oakley Mouse.  See ya then.

We extend our warmest invitation for you to join us for our W3G match in Orlando on the 3rd Sunday each month.
 
We also extend an open invitation for everyone to join us next year for the "East Coast Championship of Western 3 Gun" hosted by CFR&PC organized by the "BAD COWBOYS". This will be our 2nd year for this event, we're excited about that and we know everybody will have a great time!

Thanks for all the kind words.  Ol-Glor-E and myself enjoyed getting the W3G started.  We were pleased with the 1st match.  Smiles and harassment were everywhere.   Everyone had a great time.  Even with the heat.

We hope you California cowboys can get down and shoot with us sometime.  I think between Orlando and the T&R we have good locations to get all these Florida cowboys and cowgirls started in W3G.
