If I shoot saturday I don't know if I will be able to pick up the Major.

When you have shot at TenZ and Ms Annie's when are you usually done?

I think the shop is open until 530pm and i think if they know I am coming they will wait a little bit for me...

As of right now (8:12pm Thursday), the weather forecast for this weekend is:

Saturday @ LR: 30% chance of isolated Thunderstorms.
Sunday (Waverly, VA) 60% chance of sctattered strong to severe thunderstorms.
Sunday (Thurmond, MD) 60% chance of scattered strong thunderstorms.

Looks Like Saturday might be the best day to shoot.

LIT sent you a pm.

I left message with Nate last night but will get back with him this am to make sure the C&B's come to the shop with him (they may be there already - but I am not sure).

Went by and picked them up, and the actions work better than my Rugers, it's hard to believe they are cap & ball guns. He also gave me two holsters for the 60's a two cavity conical mould and a box with about 50 cast and lubed conicals. One heck of a deal, especially when I only expected to get the guns and the extra cylinders.

When I got home I tried thenm out in the holsters Mitch made for my 58's and the 60's fit them perfectly.

I plan to shoot them at the next match I get to.

I watched Nate at the Md. State blackpowder match shoot rifle targets with them. They are a great set of pistols.    I'm sure you will enjoy them

Major Belch followed me home - pics to follow.

Nate also finished another pair of pistolas he had for some time.

I have OT and conversion disease.

2 sets 44spl/colt/russian OT's (one pair antiqued & one pair CCH - 5-1/2 inch).

2 sets of 51 38spl conversions (one pair gated left full length & one pair with older back plate conversions - cut to 5 inch)

1 set 38 spl OT's (CCH 5-1/2 inch).

Thankfully i trade for most of them or parts...

Actually our pard Frio made them for hiss but then decided he was not going to shoot 44 russian.

They are very nicely antiqued and smoothed before Nate ever touched them.

Frio did tell me that he probably won't antique another pair except maybe for hisself - evidently to do it right is a ton of work!

Hoping to shoot with ya'll soon!

When you do I will most likely be shooting the 60's. Plan to go ahead and cast up some more conicals and go get some more caps.

Calling the RMC dude today and see if I can get the brass to come in.

I think with my 12 guage tools I can probably load the 10 guage shells.

Also calling the guys at Rugged gear and ordering a USCG styled rugged gear cart!  They were willing to work with me on the fabric and only charging 40.00 extra for the work - I think thats pretty good deal!

Won't be ready for the state shoot but shortly thereafter!

Not sure if I will shoot Sunday but hoping I can - may even have my Sarah (Cowgirl name still TBD) with me to watch.

Are you using right email?

I sent him one a couple weeks ago and it was an older address he no longer uses.

I went to their clubsite last night and sent him an email from that and it was answered before i woke up this am.

BTW how did the Maryland BP match go?

It was the email listed on the website ('rmc@vcn.com').  Is there another one ??

I screwed up on the MD Blackpowder shoot.....it is this coming Sunday (8/21).  It is a good thing I didn't drive up there!

Right my mistake.

I have emailed RMC as well too.

When I talked with him he said they had plenty of brass made up so now I am just trying to get the brass in so I can load it up.

I am pretty sure I can load it up with the hand tools I have now - just be easier to do with the 10 gauge tools.

I would think Nate could build you reloading kits..Or a  gunsmith with a Lathe and Drill press. Resizing your brass and or paper/plastic hulls would be the key. Punching the spent primers and setting new ones wouldn't be too big of hassel. You should be able to rig up some devise to do that with.. I mean your all Southern Gentleman(Didn't want say RedNecks) and as long as there is Duct tape< I don't beleive it is in short supply... You should be able to fix a little problem like loading Shotshells.
