When you play laptop Dobro the action is set so high you can't do any fingering.  She is good but I prefer setting up for a combination of slide and different chords.

Ms. Cashdollar, is known for her steele but I'm sure she plays a full circle of guitars.  I agree with you on playing the slide or being able to play some cords . I didn't realize the set up on them Laptops run high like you stated.  I still like the tone the cones add to the sound

That 3 cone can be set up for normal play.  Dobros and resonators used to be two different animals.  A lot of dobro players liked the National Steel sound and replaced the bridges and the head nuts to suit them.

This is cool, read the narrative.  This is the original sheet music Santa Anna's band had.  Thought it would be neat ta share.

Most think of Chet as one of the best gee-tarists ever or as a producer, most have never heard his other side:

The signature sounds of the E street band has passed. Clarence Clemons,"the Big man", 69 had a stroke last week passed away yesterday. Played with Bruce Springsteen for nearly 40 years. RIP

First off gotta say I just love the early Cowboy Junkie stuff...(them reviewers that said Margo Timmons had been hittin the thorazine jar were just way off...)

But, I came here to tell ya'll about last nite. My little woman bought tickets to go see America and Three Dog Night. I was sceptical to say the least. Liked a number of songs from both groups but hey.....

Boy howdy was I wrong. America started the show off and were a little bit better than I expected. Then TDN came to the stage. Original band members Danny and Cory looked like they had just come from the old folks home...but after a couple of songs they warmed up. and started to really put on a show. In the middle of Mama they stopped and Cory put on some glitter and they showed what that song would be like if it was a rap...funny stuff.

Of course I always like to hear my friends (Hoyt Axton) stuff and it was stand up.
Then they introduced some songs that would be on their album coming out in 2035 (joke here) and they did a blues number that ripped. then a 6  part acapella number that qould make ya cry. if interested in them check it out on:
http://www.threedognight.com/
I have to say I had a blast...now gotta dig out a couple of old records..

If any one is interested, them boys (3 Dog Night) are gonna appear here in Rancho Cucamonga (SoCal) next month Sept 10th I think...at the center in Victoria Gardens. It is a brand new concert hall and seats less than 400. not a bad seat in the house. Think my wifey is makin me take her.......again...

Found that a lot of folks have never heard this original.  It's a little more colorful than Johnny Horten's version an more accurate.
