reproduction Spencer rifle
« on: May 21, 2007, 08:01:47 PM »
A year ago, at the N-SSA Nationals, I saw several modern repro Spencer rifles for sale but didn't see one at this past Nationals.  Is someone making them and what dealer might have good prices on them?

Thanks

Rich

At Nationals last year you either saw Romano Rifle Co's 1860 Spencers, or you saw the 1865 Armi-Sports at Dixie Gun Work's shop. They are located right next to each other on Sutler row. Either can be found on the internet.

If you want a very high quality Spencer and you are willing and able to spend big bucks then Romano would be the choice.  There are alot of companies importing the Armi Sport made Spencer including Dixie gun works already mentioned.  Additional importers include:

http://www.taylorsfirearms.com/products/cfSpencer.tpl

The big problem is that Spencers are really scarce in the states now.  Importers are still waiting for shipments from Italy.  I am on Taylors list for a 56-50.   I just got my ammo in from TenX yesterday.  All I need now is the CARBINE!! ???

safe shooting.  Deadeye.

  Howdy Pards!

I am thinking about selling my Romano Spencer Rifle for $3,500 (used once) with mold and dies.  Would save a pard over $1500.

Mick
Not that I have that kind of money - but I'm guessing this is a 56-56?  Rapine 535370 mould? 4D-Die set?
'Wish I had that sort of money.  Then I could retire my original, and play with 45gr equivalent loads.

I've never had one in my hands, but they sure look like great rifles.

Well as soon as you get out of the "thinking" mode and into the selling mode let us all know.  I am sure you will have trouble selling it here.  We would all love to see pictures and more details as you see fit to provide.  Safe shooting.  Deadeye.
