Help please with Ohio NCOWS

  Howdy Pards! 

   Can anyone help us out?

   We three pards have been invited to the NCOWS "shoot" at Auglaize Village (Defiance, Ohio).
   However, the listed contact person for an NCOWS "posse" basically "blew us off" and was of no help in joining NCOWS or answering any questions as to "how."  All he did is say he would send us the shoot information for April   (still waiting...)
   But that is not my question.  (we joined NCOWS anyways...)

   The NCOWS information we have is that the NCOWS at Auglaize Village are the Defiance Justice Society and the SASS folks are the Augliaze Rough Riders.

    While we were invited to the NCOWS, the on-line listing is for the SASS Auglaize Rough Riders and lists the shoot as a SASS shoot?

    I think I know the answer, but am hopeful asking more knowledgeable pards who might be familiar?   
   (Not setting one above or below the other, just trying to figure things out in a vacuum...)

According to the NCOWS web site The Defiance Justice Society contact is Doc Carson (aka George Carr).  His number is (419) 782-7837.  I'm not sure that they are an active posse.

I have not shot with the fine folks in Defiance, but I do get some e-mails since I live in Indiana not to far from them. I believe the contact information that Books gave you is still correct.
Like I said , I have not been there but I understand that they shoot SASS matches and NCOWS matches at the same time. I think maybe they divide them in seperate groups but I am not sure.

I've shot there before (Auglaize) with NCOWS. Doc Carson and his pa are helpful and very nice fellows. I'm guessing there was just a disconnect. Please contact Doc direct as I think the number listed for him by Books is good. He'll square-up and square you away.

Let me know when you end up going there - perhaps I can try for the same shoot.

I spoke with the NCOWS Secretary (Jack Bursovsky) about this yesterday. The Defiance Ohio posse has returned to being a SASS only club, at least for now. George Carr is just now recovering from an accident earlier this year & said that if interest in an NCOWS Posse in the Defiance area increased in the future they could restart the Posse.
