Can anyone shooting West Point, VA this Sunday help me out?

I don't like doing this but I figure it is better to ask here then at a match! I am going to the match this Sunday at West Point and would like to shoot. I shot my first match this past weekend at KC's Corral. Anyhow I am short handguns, leather, and a rifle. I have smokeless.38 Special ammunition I can provide (or I could buy another caliber) if someone has some guns I can borrow. I do have a C&B 1860 Colt Army I could use but pretty much everyone I have talked to has tried to dissuade me from using it while I am still "learning the game." I will be coming to the match either way, if I can't shoot I can still watch, help, and meet everyone.

By the way, the wheels are in motion that so I should be outfitted with handguns and leather in addition to the shotgun for next month's matches.

Thanks Trina, I am looking forward to meeting you as well after you so kindly lent me your gear last week. I have actually "used" Nick's as added incentive for the for my fiancee to come, otherwise she thinks it is just a "guy's" day at the range. I'm hoping you ladies will help convince her otherwise!

I just want to thank everyone with the Mattaponi Sundowners at West Point, VA for letting me shoot with them yesterday, I had a great time!    My first match was at K.C.'s Corral in Mechanicsville, VA last week and while I'm still green hopefully I am slowly learning the rules. So far everyone has been very nice and helpful, I can't think of this warm a reception in any of the other shooting sports I have tried (IDPA & IPSC) with the exception of 3 gun but I think that was more a fact I knew the shooters and it was a small (a dozen shooters) local club as opposed to a larger club. I look forward to seeing everyone again next month!
