  Have the prices gone up since last week??  Last week the single action army was $1085.... now it says $1245     I was trying to get some quotes last week and the toy stores told me to call back this tues. for prices... day late and a dollar short.

  The Rodeo is lookin better all the time...but that price has gone up too.

Yup, looks like a 10%-15% increase depending upon the model. The old SRP on the Rodeo was $745.00 the new is $815.00.

Even more interesting is a change in marketing; on the old 2006 Retail Price sheet the Single Action Army was listed under the "Premium Grade Revolvers" section, now its listed under the "Cowboy Action Shooting" section. And now the SAA with the black powder frame option comes with an additional cost:

" Gunslingers and Single Action Revolvers are available with a Black Powder Frame for an additional $150. Inspector Series and Custer Battlefield models come with Black Powder frames. Pre-War models are available with a cross Pin or Black Powder frame. "

They have to pay for all that research and fees to Remington to start producing the 1858, 1875 and 1890 and/ or cost of production went up.   Nothing goes down....it only goes up.    Safe shooting.  Deadeye.

I hope they don't shoot themselves in the foot, like Colt did before they dropped their prices, and price themselves out of the market. Quite frankly, NOW... I think giving a choice between the Colt and the USFA Premium, that Colt could see a increase in their sales.

  I dont mind paying for quality, and that is just the MSRP on their site.  The best price I can get around here is $1025 for the SAA Premium.  I see the Marshal has them for $980 on his site.  Unless they went up and it hasnt been reflected in the CASS store yet.  I filled out the order form in the CASS store but havent received a reply yet for step two of the proccess.

  I wanted some bells and whistles too.  Is it really worthwhile having USFA put the tru ivory two piece slightly aged grips on them for an additional $500 ( for two guns) or do you think it might be a little less expensive to get after market grips?  I really like that look    it reminds me of the Duke's gun.  I already have checkered black hard rubber grips on my RNV's and wanted something different.

  I guess I shoulda woulda coulda bought my guns before the price increase.  oh well...Im tryin not to ramble on ... I just appreciate and respect everyones input...

Hey everyone!  Those are suggested Retail Prices.  Everytime we buy a USFA firearm, they ask what we paid.  They must do their job in keeping the value of their products on the rise.  This only reflects that USFA's value is going up.  Don't jump off the canyon wall.  USFA Quality has gone up as far as I am concerned.  USFA is growing and expanding, which is vital for any company to remain in business.  We must just trust that USFA is keeping a watchful eye on their affairs and will monitor and adjust to any issues that may arise.  I think we all can agree that Banjoman is a first rate guy at USFA, so we must trust Mr. Donnely's judgement in running USFA.  If higher prices is what is needed to keep the high quality we have now grown used to, I am not going to argue.

  You make a good point, Doc.  I agree that USFA has to grow and expand and Im glad your sixshooters have increased in value.  If I get my SAA from USFA now Im sure down the road they will also increase in value.  I just wish I acted sooner.

  What exactly is the difference between the Pre War and the Single Action Army?  A case colored hammer and a different blueing?  The Pre War can be ordered with the cross pin frame like the SAA.  I was trying to compare the two.

I didn't think you were starting any arguments.  It's great to see people talking or debating about USFA firearms.  I am personally hooked on USFA firearms.  If you find an FFL/Gunsmith Ma & Pa Shop that you can have a good relationship with, you'll find you can get your USFAs for a good price all the time, and in pristine condition.  Some of the Big Box stores let every Tom, Dick or Harry play with SAAs and let them get scratched up, as well as making people premiums for them.

As far as pricing goes, USFA kept prices pretty much the same since February/2006 until April/2007.  That is very reasonable.  I would worry more if prices stayed stagnant for too long.  When they do, it could mean pricing was way to high to begin with, or they are pumping out higher quantities to keep down unit costs, which usually quality begins to suffer.

As far as the differences between the Premium SAA and the Pre-Wars go, Pre-War SAAs have Color Cased Hammers & Armory Blue finish, the correct use of assembly numbers in hidden places, the option of a serial number to replicate an original, and the option of the "V" Notch rear sight and blade front sight along with a Black Powder frame, or the Square Notch rear and square front blade along with a cross-pin Frame to more closely replicate an original SAA.

Either gun will make you very happy as USFA firearms are great shooting Sixguns that are well built.

 No additional price increases are forth coming.   The NCOWS site was making reference to a NCOWS deal.  One is enough.
