Hey Pards!

Well I did it, went out today and tried on a few pistols and ended up purchasing an old model Vaquero in 45LC with 5.5" barrel. Can't wait to get out and throw some lead. Any suggestions on cartridges seeing I'm still without because the two guns shops I visited had none.  Sad

Looks like I've gone from Greenhorn to Rat and Warthog in a day, well I spose I should do some shooting right quick for the latter title to apply.

CasCity has been very informitive, thanks,

-Jake

PS. I'll try to get a better pic in the daylight.  Wink

Good lookin Irons there Jake,........You might find another title or two with those 45 Colts,......"Reloader",......if not it will be "Poor",...Unless your made of money......
45 Colts are expensive to shoot,....most of us you will find load our own and a lot of us even cast our own slugs........Pardon my sayin,....just a little food for the thinkin....

Thanks for the tip Sarge. As for the 45 it is just one for now, (two pic's of the same gun).
Once I get out shooting I'll have more of an idea of where I'm headed with this new venture
and pick up a second one in the spring.

-Jake

UPDATE:
Spent 32 bucks for a box at the local shop, I'll have to do some shopping around once I really get shooting.

Just received these new grips today.  American Holly made by Cary Chapman.  I picked up the Super Blackhawk on Gunbroker not too long ago.  I think the American Holly compliments the engraving nicely.

Washday Daniel Nighteyes

Thats a mighty nice looking Lance you have there, did you make it yourself  Huh what is the spike for just above the top feather. Shocked Huh Embarrassed

Ten Wolves  Smiley Wink Cheesy Grin

Yup, made it with great care.  (Those are fake eagle feathers, btw).  The "spike" is actually a rifle rest -- I use the lance as a standing shooting stick in long-range.
