The good news:  My Pre-War arrived today.  Unfortunately, it did not come with the "Fire Blue Appointments" as ordered.  My gun shop is calling them to see if they will send them separately for my shop to install.

What all comes with "Fire Blue Appointments"?  The frame and grip screws - is the ejector button also blued?  Anything else?

Other than that, what a beauty.  The 2-piece walnut grips are amazing.  USFA outdid themselves on the case colors, and they said it would arrive in April or May so they outdid themselves on the arrival time too.

Well, I just learned about this web site.

I joined this forum after doing a lot of research on SAAs.  I posted a lot of questions on various forums about who makes the best SAA today, read everything I could, and I ended up choosing the USFA.

Then I found this website dedicated to USFA, so I joined and read every post.  I didn't realize that USFA is the sponsor here, and that banjoman from that firm avtively reads the posts.

He read my post yesterday about the lack of "Fire Blue Appointments" on my new Pre-War and wrote me a personal message last night and USFA will immediately fix the problem.

I didn't write here to complain about the pistol!  I knew it would get straightened out.  Mistakes happen, and at the rate I make them I'm pretty forgiving.  Gary writing me was was a great gesture, and backs my faith in the company.

North Bender,   Now you have a better understanding of why we love USFA.  Gary Granger is a straight shooter and an asset to the company.   Your gun sounds beautiful.  Please post a picture of it when you get it back from USFA.   Safe shooting.  Deadeye.

To my knowledge, USFA does not sponser this forum. It was put up because USFAs have a strong following.

Qoute from Marshal Holloway:
Quote
Welcome to Cas City's USFA-CSS, a group comprised of USFA Firearms enthusiast.

This informal group was initiated by Lady Lassiter, Rusty Colt and Coal Valley Hoss, the latter organized the member list. Shortly after they started the list, Rusty Colt passed away.

After several requests from USFA fans to give them a spread in Cas City, consider it done.

I joined USFA CSS when it was started on the SASS Wire. At several of our requests, Marshal Holloway gave it a real home here at CAS City.
We are free to share our opinions about USFAs, whether they be positive or negative, here.
But,I will not let the USFA vs. Colts (or whatever brand) range wars get started, because I feel those wars are only productive of hard feelings between fellow shooters. And I also feel that we do not have to prove our USFAs to anybody. They prove themselves to anybody that has an open mind about them.

We are very lucky to have the relationship that we have with USFA, and that Banjoman is a member of our society.

Make yourself to home here, and enjoy.  Smiley

... and I'm still learning about the site!

Even if I missed my guess about sponsorship, my thanks go to the folks who started this site.

No range war here Rio, but if I can ask - why bring up the topic?.
