you know what, if'in ya wore that shirt down ta the bus depot,  some of them country gals would probally think ya just rode the bus in from Hawaii,  they'd think ya was a world travler and be a wanting ta talk to ya.

Rumour spreadin' a-'round in that texas town
'Bout that shack outside la grange
And you know what I'm talkin' about.
Just let me know if you wanna go
To that home out on the range.
They gotta lotta nice girls.

Have mercy.
A haw, haw, haw, haw, a haw.
A haw, haw, haw.

Well, I hear it's fine if you got the time
And the ten to get yourself in.
A hmm, hmm.
And I hear it's tight most ev'ry night,
But now I might be mistaken.
Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm.

Have mercy.

Only ten?  Wow, I gotta go!

I tried the shirt on.  Do you suppose it'll matter any if I can't get the middle buttons to fasten? ???

Quotes from the "I heard" grapevine show how inadequate both the listener and the repeater of the quote are in the good sense department.

By the way, my singin' bass isn't a bass.  He's a tenor.  Or maybe an elevenor.
