Down Under Bound in 2008
« on: December 15, 2006, 09:13:03 AM »
Supposin' we actually wrangle enough pesos to pull this off...

What match should we plan the trip around?

I reckon that taking our cowboy guns is going to involve enough red tape to span the distance between us.  Any ideas on where to start on that end?

That sounds great. There are plenty of shoots around the country you can go to, but the Nationals or what we call Chisholm Trail is held in Queensland on the long weekend in Sept or another shoot is our CASS BlackPowder shoot held in New South Wales on the first weekend in November and it is close to were I live.

As for bringing out guns, you would be best just to bring your leather out with you and we will led you guns and load ammo (Black or Smokeless) for you.

Yes Stump the Black Powder Champs are a great shoot as is Chisholm Trail in Qld, but for a really top 3day shoot close to Sydney the BP shoot is the one.

As DD said just bring your leather we'll look after the rest.

The Pan-Pacific Masters Games may well be held on that November weekend ......
..... don't be fooled inta thinkin' it's more important than "The Australian International BlackPowder Championships",
.... which, by the way, will be based on the movie "Rustlers Rhapsody"  8)

The events are about a month apart, so ya kin trip about an' look at what's ta see.........

............. my home club will be shootin' on tha sunday after Chisolm Trail, an' tha club that DD,TT, Yokel, & I shoot at will have a monthly on tha sunday after that .........
....... plenty of practice, ..... (if yer that way inclined  :o)

I pretty sure we kin orgynise sum shootin' irons an' boolits  ;D

If a feller did wanna bring his own guns how would he go about it?
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intent of arriving
safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in
broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming
 "WOW!"  What a ride!

To anyone planning to Down Under in 2008.

I would like any information on the posse going and to be included. I have been trying to get down there and New Zeland for years but didn't want to go alone.

My e-mail address is     sassboo1@rangeweb.net   .   I would appricate any info on how to get in touch with the 'head honcho'. I have been looking into this and may have some good information.
