Lewis & Clark Movie
« on: September 09, 2006, 07:38:31 PM »
They have been advertising on TV a National Geografic Movie called "Lewis & Clark"  at the IMAX movie house in Hutchinson,Ks. (www.cosmo.org)  Anyone seen it?  Is it worth going to. Sounds interesting. My cooking pard,  Iron Hawk told me some of his Ansestors helped Lewis & Clark in their trip west. Hes Nez-Perce.   Wishbone-Ks

I think I saw this at the Henry  Dorley Zoo in Omaha. It was good but nothing exceptional. The Imax view was great. i think you will enjoy it if itis the same one I saw. i assume it is because not all film is designed for imax. i used to work at a large regional theatre and we had the biggest screen below Imax and was common knowlege that the film is physically different. i would see it again if i had the chance.

Wishbone,

I too would recommend seeing this IMAX film.  The scenery is breath taking.  The history is ok.  The clothing is poor.  Of course, I hand sewed several authentic L & C uniforms and participated with the US Army Corps of Engineers group during part of the Bicentennial.  Don't worry abut the clothing, just enjoy the scenery!
