I personally could not stand to watch him.  I thought he was a total idiot for performing some of the stunts he did, and then air them on television for people to get ideas.  However, I am sorry that he had to learn his lesson in such a permanent manner.  I too am surprised he lasted this long.

Can't recall ever watchin' him.  If someone doesn't play pro football or drive stock cars there's little chance I've seen them on television.  Think I saw a promo once where some clown was playin' with a snake 'n it bit him on the lower lip.  Was that him?

Folks with good intentions playin' with nature.  Nature doesn't know anything about good intentions.  Nature knows survival.  It would appear in this case - the skate had the 'key'........

Welcome to Modern America.    :-\

I agree with BJD on this, regardless of how stupid, or adventurous he was, he left a wife and two kids behind.

I have to agree with ya there also, leaving behind a wife and couple of kids is not fodder for bashing.  On the other end I always thought the guy only had one foot in the stirrup, but whatever floats your boat.  And it was his boat.

Yes it was his boat.  And he knew it going in.

“Modern America” is voyeuristic, lives vicariously and loves its heroes. That stuff sells, especially the sensational.  That’s how the Discovery Channel sells advertising and DVDs.  Not to be callous, boys.  I believe he traded his responsibility to his family for his next segment of notoriety and another payday. This time it bit him.  It wasn’t me that left his family without a husband and a father.  As I’m not a consumer of such programming, it wasn’t me that caused the attempted production of the video.

That isn’t “bashing”.  It’s the view of one individual.  I regret if anyone took my comments any other way.

Arcy, never crossed my mind that you were bashing him.  You just asked if it was that character with the snake.  That is not what I call bashing.  I have to learn to chose my words a little more carefully.  I do get tired of a diet of shoe leather and crow...;-)

Never felt you were, either, Arcy. Hope you didn't take it that way.
