Stripped her down to the white. Think I'll leave her that way. Using white vinegar did the trick. Heaven knows I shouldn't inhale any more fumes Shocked! Needed some baking soda to finish it. Wonder if the wife misses that box in the fridge yet! Roll Eyes

Maybe you could polish it up and make it look stainless! I have a polished steel "U S Marshall" that looks stainless but is polished steel. So far it acts like it. No rust of patina.

I did a 50 cal muzzle loader a few years back and finished with the plum brown. Makes an awfully nice looking "old timey" finish.

I can get a used Uberti made from a kit.  It is almost white.  IF I get it I'd do it in Brown.
