You coming to Cowra Saltbush?

I shot at with the Cudgegong Troopers at Mudgee on Saturday morning and then drove to Newcastle for my bro=in law's surprise 60th birthday party on Sat night. Wandered home slowly on Sunday.

Loading ammo this week and checking the loads at the range Saturday, giving the camper a trial ri=un on Sunday to see if it is still in working order. Lots of preparation for Cowra the week after.

What happened to you on Sunday you missed a great shoot with the Kenthurst Cowboys.

Easter weekend heading north to Dalby Queensland for their Easter Shoot then home reload and out the Cowra for their two day shoot the following weekend .

Same here Saltbush, the ute's packed and will leave around 6.00am go pick Longspur up and should be there around 1.00pm.

Cairns City Cowboys (my club) is hosting a two day shoot as part of the North Queensland Games. This is my first big shoot. I'm really excited!

We just got back from the opening ceremony where we took part in the parade dressed in our costumes. We got lots of great comments from competitors in other sports, and spectators. It was a lot of fun!

Just got back from Cowra, what a great shoot! I shot double duellist for the first time, boy that was hard, but fun!!!

Off to Sydney to represent the local shooting club at the Association's Annual General Meeting. I expect it will be interesting and boring all at once. There is a shoot at Kenthurst on Sunday. I'd love to go, but may not be able to fit it in. We'll see how we go.

It was! We had the news crews and such spending a lot of time with us over the two days. Hopefully we get on TV and in the paper for a bit of extra promotion.

I'm still a relative newcomer, so I'm happy to have finished 5th in Wrangler. Frank James topped the overall leaders, closely followed by Dixon Mills. I came 6th overall in the speed shotgun event. A couple of squib loads cost me 10 odd misses, but nothing was going to take the smile off my face. I'll be making a bigger effort to get to more big shoots. It was a hoot!

It's definitely a challenge. I've only tried it at practice. I'm not game to do it during a match.

I just realised looking at the scores I shot in the seniors and shot double duellist, no wonder I got my butt kicked! That will teach me to put the form in and not just give Witchita the money and verbal instructions! No problem, I would have got my butt kicked anyway. I'll get my Ruger Old Armies out tomorrow and see how I go with them. Maybe Frontersman is calling me

Up to the club tomorrow,setup for our club shoot Sunday.

And then on Sunday shoot,should be a big day this will make three weekends in a row of shooting,will have to spend a week in the shed RELOADING.

I'll be cleaning guns, loading and testing ammo. getting the camper ready. charging batteries, servicing the truck, etc, etc etc.

On Monday I will be off to Mudgee to camp (in a cottage in the caravan park) will some old friends and a crowd of their friends that I haven't met yet. We will be there for the week, visiting vineyards, local sights, etc.

Back on Fri, take the much neglected motorcycle for a nice ride to charge the batteries up and have a picnic lunch somewhere. Final prep and hitch the camper up on Saturday, Cowra Cowboys on Sunday, then head west to Broken Hill on the way to Adeliade, arriving on the 10th for Winter Muster shoot, the next week dooling around Robe and Mt Gambier, into Melbourne for the monthly shoot at Little River, a week in Melbourne visiting my sister, then a side by side shotgun shoot with the Vintagers Order of Edwardian Gunners before wending my way up the coast over a few days.

Big trip, about 20-25 scenarios, lotsa ammo, lotsa fun.
