False Teeth?
« on: July 17, 2006, 08:11:50 PM »
Who Gets Your False Teeth When You Pass Away?

If you have heard this before you won't be surprized like I was. There are people out in this world who go to funeral home and get dentures that are "used" and wear them.

I think this is the nastiest thing I have ever heard, wearing dead peoples teeth. I called my mom and put dibbs on hers and she said she had actually heard of this being done.

So, who gets yours?

At this point I still have most of mine.  The only ones that are missing are my wisdom teeth because I'm not that wise.  ;D ;D ;D

I do believe that if I ever need a set of false teeth, I will have it put in my will that I am to be burried with them...I may need them in the after life... ;)

All I'm missin' so far is the wisdom teeth.  I go ta the jawbreak ever three months hopin' I can keep mine.  Gottah go the 9th of next month.  He throws a fit cause I smoke 'n drink too much coffee 'n stain 'em up.

Buried my father with his dentures so ain't nobody gonna use his fer a longggggggggg time.  Maybe I shouldn't have cause he hated the things.  Claimed he never had any that fit right.  God rest ya, Pop.  He'd ah been 81 last week, the 11th.

Don't wanna preach here. But y'all with kids, ya need ta see yer docs regular.  Ya need ta set an example.  Might help ya sit at yer grandkid's table at Thanksgiving 'n eat some of Tracker's turkeys with yer own toofers when yer real old.

If I gottah have 'em someday, I'm gettin' my own...................

McMate, A couple of years ago my father passed......The funeral home director asked if any of us wanted my fathers dentures...I asked they remain with him, even though he was creamated. My sister wanted his eye glasses. I thought she was going to give them to the "Lions club," she just wanted them.
I guess there could be folks out there that would use them but it's still sick.

See litl rooster?  That's where you are just an uncaring person.   Right now there is someone who is unable to eat corn because of you. :(       ;D

They say Geo. Washington had a set of wooden ones, so that's the 1700's. Not sure how much further back they go..................Buck 8) ::)

There was a thing on the History Channel one time on GW's false teeth, not wood, used some of his own that had fallen out and some made of hippo ivory. ::)

I'll PM my new pard oscar that is over on Cosie's Corner, he would know he builds them. ;D

There's a little community a little further back in the woods than us, a lot of people go there to a dentist ?  he charges $40.00 total to pull a tooth and similary for different procedures, but ya got to go on Sat. or Sun. He's just there on the weekends

Think I'm sticking to going to town visit the dentist there.
