Title: Right between the EYE"S.
Post by: Slamfire on March 17, 2018, 12:59:30 PM
Was visiting w/ a friend who lives in "CALIFORNIA", about how his 45/60 chappie always ejected the fired case hitting him in the forehead ( between the eyes ) this would cause one to start flinch'n or duck'n. So I did a little es permimt'n by adding small pcs. of masking tape to the " right " side of the lifter ..back where the cutout for the base of the case fits . Shaw ! the empty cases would fly out to the right side ..it took between .030 & .050 thou'. ..even working the action slow or fast the empty cases went to the right .I found that JB Weld does not work all that well as it doesn't  let the rim of the case slide enough..but one could braze a little brass on the area and smooth & polish ..no more brass on the hat's either . When I get time I'll fix one ( lifter ) and holler back. Please feel free to comment . ( I had to do some'n this place to QUITE ).

 smoke'm if y'a got'm,,,,Hootmix.
