Title: Spencer carbine in Hostiles

As much as I like seeing Spencers in the movies, I would think a cavalryman in 1892 would have turned in his Spencer long ago. Lt. Kidder must have loved his Spencer as much as we do. I kept hoping someone would tell him that 45-70 ammo he was carrying was not going to fit it !      Jw

Oh great.  Stuff like that drives me nuts.  It also tells me that down deep, someone didn't care about getting things right.  You know some armorer tried to tell the producer/director that wasn't right, and got the reply "Who cares, it looks cool!"
