Title: Smith and Wesson Model 2 question
Post by: Mogorilla on January 08, 2018, 01:56:46 PM
Okay,
Had someone ask me this and while I am pretty sure I know the answer, I would like confirmation.   Were some of the Model 2 smoothbores?

I honestly think someone is misinterpreting the description of smooth barrel given for the 1st variation of the Model 2s, but before I emphatically respond, would like someone who knows more to respond.

Thanks,

I have checked my references and can find no mention of No. 2 smoothbores.

Thanks, Books.  I had not found anything in my searching other than a few instances of people asking a similar question.  In talking with a few others, we had come to the conclusion that people were misinterpreting the smooth barrel description.

Thanks!
