Title: Department of the Platte staff appointments
Post by: Sagebrush Burns on August 31, 2017, 05:30:48 PM
Effective immediately, the following members are named to the staff positions indicated:

Department Adjutant - Lou Graham, Arizona

Department Cavalry Commander - Black Jack Ketchem, Colorado

Department Infantry Commander - Capt. Dan Blodgett, Arizona

Division of Arizona Commander - Colt Laredo, Arizona

Division of Colorado Commander - Bat Masterson, Colorado

Division of Montana Commander - Hardtack Henry, Montana (formerly Dept Sgt Major)

My thanks to all of you for your willingness to step in and fill these positions.  It is my hope and expectation that thes appointments will be part of a process in which the Department of the Platte becomes a more active element of the Grand Army of the Frontier.  Perhaps most important:  at the promotions party, first round is on me!

Glad I gave Bat that bottle of Rough Rider.

That solider died Sunday night although he didn't have much life left in him after Saturday.  Thank you again.
