Can't wait till Friday!
Who else is going?
-
Donnie and I both heading out Friday.
-
Cool! It'll be good to see him again.
Doesn't look like Jacob is going to make it. Cathy and I will leave after work tomorrow so I can shoot the long range matches.
If you are Bad Czech, does that make Donnie Rubber Czech? ::) ;D
-
Be safe, have fun, and post a lot of pictures!
-
Bah! Amerikanski corn farmer make much bad joke. But to warn all: I, Bad Czech, have been making much practice! I am in 3rd hour of Moose and Squirrel marathon. Cousin Boris have much luck too bad with Yankee animal no goodniks. :P
-
It's for sure J Dawg can't come with us. His unit is on standby to go to Houston. The up side to this is that this means Cathy and I will leave this afternoon after work so I will for sure be there for the side matches.
-
Cathy and I had a wonderful time! Made it home in a little under 5 1/2 hours. Will make a more in depth report after a good nights sleep.

As I said we had a swell time! The Big Cheese, G-man and his mob runs a nifty match that is always the cat’s meow. And how!
We camped on site this year and having a camper right across the parking lot from the bays really made my doll's life easier as she was able to relax and not have to worry about her pup getting over heated or having her ears ringing for the shooting. For yous guys who camp but don't camp at the range for this match, yous don't know what you're missing. It's well worth the clams for the pad rent.
Friday was the long range and there were plenty of classes so's you could pretty much shoot whatever rod you brung. Thank you to Frank Hamer for the use of some better ammunition for my '03 and to all that allowed me to play with their gats.
Numbers were off a little from the previous Zoot Championships I've attended, but the camaraderie was warm and the competition was swell.
Speaking of camaraderie, our comrade Bad Czech made a return appearance and he brung with him Lone Wolf Luke, our only first time Zoot shooter.
Just before the Main match started Saturday morning Pops Woody and Cat Daddy gave some of us an introduction to one of the local wildlife species when Cat bumped off a big serpent with his Gauge. We shot 4 capers Saturday followed by the speed matches.
Saturday evening G-man and his Doll, G-moll hosted a nifty potluck meal in front of their joint. The food was good and there wasn’t a wet blanket in the bunch. Eventually, even the owls flew the coop, leaving a few dead soldiers to mark the occasion.
Sunday we shot the final 3 capers. It seemed everyone had his glad rags on as there wasn’t a rag-a-muffin to be seen. Yous shoulda seen the Seersucker Gang! Following that, The Bad Czech got off his iron long enough to grill up some burgers and dogs provided by G-man and G-moll. Thanks to the generosity of the many sponsors, everyone received a really swell door prize. By 4:00 nearly everyone had beat it out of there.
Next year yous Guys and Dolls gots to come to this one! It’s the Bee’s knees! Ab-so-lute-ly!

Hopefully somebody got some pictures or talkies to post here.
I didn't :-[
-
Thanks for the colorful report Pitspitr. I hope someone brought a Kodak Brownie!
-
Vas great time! Bad Czech do very well, take home prize for fine Soviet clothing, though he look very wide in horizontal stripes. Superior Soviet Weapons have no problems, unlike Americanski corn vodka man and his too big bullets! :-X

Bad Czech do very well, take home prize for fine Soviet clothing,
Not on my ballot. On my ballot Bad Czech won for the cool (NOT) Indian Motorcycle sweater Bad Czech was wearing after he joined the biker gang at Sturgis in August of '38.
I sure hope somebody got some pictures!

Must have been some match with all that dancing...........

Great pictures! Looks like as much fun as you can have with purple clothes on!!
-
Ned asked in a message to see more Coppers. Here's a photo of one of my POlice (not a typo) uniforms.
-
Was there a whole group picture or a picture of Ty's pet?
-
Looks like a whole lot of fun to me. Don't have a purple zoot but I've got a nice too big pinstripe in the closet. Takes a certain kind of gangsta to pull that off. Nice purple moll too. Wish you guys would open an office here in NC

You might have to start one yourself.

Cool! I'm slowly (Very slowly!) putting together a replica 1937 Nebraska Safey Patrol uniform. Doubt if it will be as nice as that one, though.........

Great costumes! My wife is really digging the ladies in attendance who are shooting as well. Makes her feel a lot more excited to try this. Hopefully the time will offer itself this year.
Thanks for posting the pictures.
