I thought Stoeger and or Cimmaron Arms was making a reproduction of the New Model 3 (single action) . For the life of me I can't seem to find who was or is and where to buy it and/or how much..........can anyone help out a poor down on his luck cowboy looking for a good S&W Model #???? Thanks Lobojack

Thanks Pard! I really thought I was losing my mind................... thanks again.
-
I can't figure out why ,when I went to the Uberti site they didn't have one listed or described................... oh well. Thanks again.
-
First. I don't think it's being made presently. Second it's a mongrel between the new model #3 and a 3rd model Russian. And last it was made only in the wrong calibers. >:(

Meh

I don't think he meant that one, but the one Major 2 shows in his post.
It goes by the name of Beretta Laramie.
-
Yep the "Laramie" was the one I ve been trying to track down...................thx!
-
Here is my Uberti made New Model No. 3:
-
The "Laramie" was Beretta made by Uberti...it was transfer bar hammer design
It was discontinued some years ago.
Uberti make the New Model #3 with a firing pin as per the original , they are made in runs .
Sometime catch as catch can to find, as the also are running Schofields & Russians.
Taylor's, Cimarron , and Stoeger import them ....
I use 45 Schofield , and it shoots VERY well
FYI I sent you my Gun Review Article , glad you liked it

Nope, the Beretta Laramie has no transfer bar, but a hammer mounted firing pin. It is exactly the same thing as yours.
It was the Stampede that had a transfer bar.

YES the Stampede did have the transfer bar
and at least 2 Beretta Laramie's I had personally handled

Either more recent or older, one never knows. ::)
But in here they don't have it.

Fixed by abandoning photobucket.

Would love to try out one of these as a duelist to see if I could run it. I used to be pretty fast with my vaqueros. I'm big on Webleys so I love a topbreak as you can see from my avatar.

Photobucket changed from a free service where you get buried in layers of advertisements, to demanding $400 a year to host pictures. I have several hundred pictures stored there that I can not access unless I pay them their ransom demand.
-
How important are your photos? If they are important, irreplaceable then pay the ransom, download the photos to your computer drive and tell photobucket to go to hell. It's just like the airlines when somebody in corporate said 'why are we giving this stuff away when we can be charging for it?' 'They'll pay.' And he was right. Anyone want a 5.00 bag of peanuts?
And I'll beat you to it. ---Danger Will Robinson!! Thread drift alert!!

I blame OLD TIMERS Syndrome..... I had to contact my Beretta Laramie owning friend .... ::)
Seems I recalled incorrectly , his are indeed sporting firing pin just like my #3.....
his S&W however is a Transfer Bar ( I KNOW, I knew that ! ) somehow, I had a brain fade ....
you are right...I was rrrrr wrrrrr ....dam can't say it ;)

Unless they warned you about the new price policy in advance, or unless there is something in the fine print of the user agreement you ok'd before starting to use Photobucket (which is more likely, and who reads that whole dang thing anyway?), then it sounds sorta like extortion. Class Action lawsuit?
I get a website with my own domain name and something like 5gb of space for something like $160 a year. Fast, no ads, can post anything.

Taylor's and Company has several different models in stock. I was at their show room in Winchester, VA last month and picked up a Frontier model.

That would be even better. One of each. Then I could trade my .45 to Trap.
