I just shot my new 19 inch .44-40 carbine today. From about 35 yards i was pinging a steel circular target about 5 inches in diameter. Pretty good!
Great gun. My dad and wife liked it.
Anyway, the schematics and advertising say the carbine holds 10 in the magazine. Mine, i found, actually holds 11. How about your guns?

My Taylors & Co 1873 Deluxe Trapper in 45 Colt with 18" barrel is supposed to hold 10 in the magazine tube. After reading your post I tried it with 11 and it holds and feeds just fine.

ALL the Uberti 19 and 20 inch Carbines '66 & '73 will hold 11 rounds (tightly sometimes).

My customized 1873 turned into a Spanish Contract carbine only holds 10 Schofield now or only 9 .45 lc. I don't know how many it held originally.
